AI Powered Smart Glasses for Visually Impaired

The Governer of Hyderabad, Jishnu Dev Varma today launched AI-Powered smart glasses at KIMS Hospital Secunderabad. The locally developed AI powered glasses are capable of recognizing written text and read aloud, instantly identify people in front, detect objects and obstacles.

Developed by KIMS Foundation and Research Centre under leadership of former DRDO scientist Dr. V Bhujanga Rao, the glasses were tested for quality by Devanar Foundation for the blind.

Equipped with advanced computer vision and machine learning algorithms, the glasses aid navigation, recognise faces and objects.

Designed for the visually impaired, these glasses mark a significant milestone in emerging technology.
